These elaborate drop earrings feature intricate brass filigree work forming stylized bird or animal motifs with curved necks and bodies. Each earring displays a central red stone or glass cabochon set within the filigree framework. Multiple hammered silver or pewter disc dangles hang from the bottom of each creature form, creating movement and sound. The filigree technique shows fine wirework twisted and soldered into openwork patterns typical of Eastern European metalsmithing traditions. The earrings attach via simple wire hooks and would have been substantial statement pieces, demonstrating both wealth and cultural identity through their complex construction and precious materials.
